Maneaux's written a great blog about the best thing about being a lawyer - lunch
Read Simon Manuel's great blog about the best thing about being a lawyer - lunch. From a nostalgic look back to saved luncheon vouchers being splurged on a square Wendy's burger to his hilarious translation of the name Le Relais de Venise in Throgmorton Street in the City but great review of that restaurant and other delicious City lunch spots. A blog worth reading. http://maneaux.blogspot.com/

Bowes-Lyon Partnership – Where Finding Love Just Got Personal
Bowes-Lyon Partnership matches single, eligible, accomplished people and helps them find love.
With an exceptional commitment to service and understanding of their clients they provide a bespoke and empathetic approach to making matches – an antidote to anonymous dating websites and sales driven introduction agencies.
Finding the time and having the opportunity to meet like-minded people of the right calibre is very difficult if you have a busy and successful career. Going to an introductions agency is no longer seen as taboo and nowadays busy, successful people of all ages are increasingly happy to entrust experts, to help, guide, advise and introduce them to potential partners ready for a serious long-term relationship.
At Bowes-Lyon Partnership they have helped all sorts of people find partners, including those in their 30s who have been so busy building up their career that they have not had time to find someone or those in their 40s, 50s and older who would like to find someone to share their lives with.
Getting to know their clients including finding out about their background, past relationships and their needs is part of what makes Bowes-Lyon Partnership unique. There are no long forms to fill in, no profiles to compile and no “look books”, no trawling through online members’ sites with ancient photos and dodgy profiles, the team really do know their clients. An expert from the Bowes-Lyon team meets prospective members for a complimentary, informal meeting before they join to ensure Bowes-Lyon is right for them. They spend time with members discovering what type of person they are so that they get to know their members well enough to make the best introductions and members liaise with the same person at Bowes- Lyon throughout their membership.
Using a combination of intuition and experience, Hayley and Natalie Bystram, who run Bowes- Lyon, are aware that their members take a leap of faith when joining. They understand that it’s an emotional as well as financial commitment on their part to become members and that they ultimately want to change their lives.
They also understand that privacy and discretion are of the utmost, which is why information and photos are only swapped if both members are willing and both clients have to agree to talk before they are introduced. Joining Bowes Lyon is not about ticking boxes on a list, it’s all about that elusive spark and the team at Bowes-Lyon use their expertise, experience and intuition to carefully match people together to significantly increase the chance of the right connection.
They work closely with their members providing far more than just matching them with other members. They have a “little black book” of services that their members can access to help them on their dating journey.
Every potential member has a complimentary consultation before committing to the 12 month membership fee, which can be frozen the minute they start exclusively dating someone.
They offer support and guidance throughout the whole process, building close relationships with their members providing advice and encouragement and have even given pre-date wardrobe advice and been invited out to celebratory dinners with people who they have introduced!
“People are opening themselves up and can feel very vulnerable when they come to us,” says Hayley Bystram, one of the two sisters who run Bowes-Lyon. “We understand this and know how important it is to be there for our clients throughout the whole process, building personal relationships with our members is vital because the better we know our clients the better matches we are able to make – nothing makes us happier than when we make a successful match!”.

Notes to editors
Members pay a £5000 fee for 12 months not a calendar year, which means that once they start dating someone regularly and if they chose to be in an exclusive relationship with that person they can freeze their membership and if the relationship doesn’t work out they can simply resume their membership from when they put it on hold.
