Medical tourism publisher acquires and relaunches DoctorInternet, the Arabic health portal
Intuition Communication, the online publisher of medical tourism sites such as Treatment Abroad, and the International Medical Travel Journal has acquired DoctorInternet an English/Arabic language portal established for over a decade and which provides information about the health services available overseas for Arabic patients.
Intuition is the company behind some of the UK’s most visited and successful health information websites including Private Healthcare UK, Surgery Door, the Harley Street Guide, Treatment Abroad, and the International Medical Travel Journal and is adding DoctorInternet to its growing portfolio of health information websites.
The website has been expanded, redesigned and has relaunched with an English version at www.doctorinternet.co.uk and an Arabic language version at www.doctorinternet.ae.
The site serves as a gateway to information for Arabic patients about hospitals and healthcare providers worldwide. Arabic “medical tourists” have been a long established and important segment of the global medical tourism market.
Dr Hanaa Alasam and Dr Faisal Kufaishi founded DoctorInternet over ten years ago as the first Arabic health information portal. Under their guidance, DoctorInternet gained a reputation in the Arabic world, providing second opinions, bookings with consultants and hospitals for diagnosis and treatments, and arranging accommodation and travel facilities for the Arabic patient and his/her family.
