Love is in the Air - Bowes-Lyon celebrates its first client engagement of the year
London’s elite dating agency, Bowes Lyon Partnership announces its first engagement of 2012
Bowes-Lyon Partnership, the Belgravia based agency, who finds partners for the elite and successful have just announced the first engagement of 2012 of two of its clients.
The engagement is between Lawrence Castle 31, an internet entrepreneur and Sarah Bond 30, a researcher. The happy couple met through Bowes-Lyon Partnership less than a year ago. Lawrence knew from the moment he met Sarah that she was “the one”. She was excited but she wasn’t as sure about him as he was about her at first, but she thought he was a real gentleman. After they first met, Sarah had to travel for work and Laurence sent flowers to her hotel. Sarah’s attraction grew for him and Lawrence’s never wavered, their feelings for each other grew stronger until they fell in love. Hayley and Natalie Bystram, the two sisters who run Bowes-Lyon Partnership kept in touch every few months to check how things were going and Sarah told them she’d been to stay with his family overseas. Then a couple of weeks ago Hayley dropped him a note to see how things were progressing, and he broke the news that he had proposed and that she’d agreed to marry him.
Of his Bowes Lyon Partnership experience, Lawrence says: “Bowes Lyon Partnership is not like an online dating agency, it’s a bespoke, hand crafted approach to dating. Hayley really takes the time to find out exactly what people are looking for, I felt she really got to know me and what I was looking for. She is very skilled in understanding people’s personality and detecting what they want. She quickly understood me and picked the right elements and the right mix, and made a fantastic connection”.
Since its inception over two years ago the two sisters have been quietly making a name for themselves successfully introducing eligible, high-calibre, accomplished single people who are looking for love and a serious relationship and want to enjoy the process along the way. With lots of their clients now in successful relationships, living together, talking of marriage or just enjoying successful committed relationships it’s no surprise that they are having a 75-80% success rate in helping their clients find love compared to 2-5% that use online dating sites – a huge difference. Indeed a recent article in Scientific American reports that psychologists have found out why online dating is unlikely to find you a soul mate.
The secret of Bowes-Lyon Partnership’s success is quite simple, Hayley and Natalie spend time really getting to know their clients and meet each prospective member for a complimentary and informal chat over coffee before they join to ensure Bowes-Lyon Partnership is right for them and they are right for Bowes-Lyon Partnership. Amongst other things, they find out about their backgrounds, values, their relationship history and of course exactly what they are looking for in a partner so that they can get to work matching them with the partner of their dreams. There are no long forms to fill in, no profiles to compile and no “look books”, no trawling through online members’ sites with ancient photos and dodgy profiles, the team really do know their clients and only make introductions if they are confident the couple will get along.
Hayley and Natalie Bystram, who run Bowes-Lyon Partnership, are aware that their members take a leap of faith when joining. They understand that it’s an emotional as well as a financial commitment on their part to become members and that they ultimately want to change their lives.
“We were so thrilled to hear the news about Sarah and Lawrence. It’s very exciting for us when our couples make a commitment to each other, because we really get to know our clients so well. One of the most important parts of our service is the personal relationships we build with our clients, the better we know our clients the more successful the introductions are - nothing makes us happier than when we make a successful match!”

Pan!cGuard – The World’s First Police Approved Personal Safety App – Designed to protect against stalking and provide concrete evidence the police can use to bring stalkers to justice
PanicGuard is the world’s first Police approved mobile phone app that works as a gateway to a security service and is the ideal security solution for people who are being stalked.
It has been welcomed by the police who see it as a weapon to protect against stalking by providing concrete evidence that the police can use to bring stalkers to justice. The service is activated by the victim simply shaking their phone, which will alert their emergency contacts and record real time video of the stalking event, which can be used as evidence to bring stalkers to justice.
One of the biggest problems victims face is proving that they are being stalked and one of the police’s biggest problems is gathering evidence. It is estimated that over 120,000 people a year are victims of stalking in the UK and the Justice Union’s Parliamentary Group’s inquiry found that many victims of stalking have little confidence in the criminal justice system and many felt their complaints were not taken seriously by the Police.
More than just an app, PanicGuard is a service that once activated turns the phone into a real-time GPS tracker, alarm and video recording device which sends instantaneous alerts to emergency contacts that will be able to see what is happening and then call the police.
PanicGuard can be active all the time and can operate in stealth mode, working silently in the background so that the stalker will have no idea that it even exists. The evidence is not stored on the phone as it is streamed instantly to a secure server, so that even if the phone is taken the evidence can be accessed online at anytime and can be used to bring stalkers to justice.
PanicGuard is accredited by Secured by Design, a flagship UK police initiative to help ‘design out’ crime through the use of high-quality innovative products and processes
In order to achieve Secured by Design status, PanicGuard had to adhere to the organisation’s test standards
Richard Childs Managing Director of Secured by Design, says: “PanicGuard provides a proactive approach to personal security. We support effective products such as this which help the vulnerable and those at risk. PanicGuard can be used by a wide range of people utilising modern technology and so turning the mobile phone into a personal safety device”.
Detective Chief Inspector, Martin Ford, Head of the National Mobile Crime Unit says:
"The MPS is supportive of all responsible efforts to improve the personal safety of individuals within our communities. Integrated, well thought out solutions such 'PanicGuard' have the potential to contribute to the security of vulnerable persons by using new technologies to their best capacity".
Women’s and Men’s Domestic Violence Charities have also embraced PanicGuard. Chris Green of The White Ribbon Campaign UK , an organisation of men working to end violence against women says:
“One in five will suffer stalking or violence in their lifetime, and one in four will suffer domestic abuse in their lifetime. The White Ribbon campaign welcomes the introduction of PanicGuard that increases the safety of women and increases the likelihood of successful prosecution of perpetrators”.
Mikkel Dissing, an internet entrepreneur invented PanicGuard as a solution to the ever increasing problem of people’s fears about feeling safe. He spent two years perfecting the product, making sure it works in the most stressful and terrifying of situations.: “Everyone has a right to feel safe on the streets and in their own homes, but sadly that is not always the case.
It is illegal to carry anything for self-defence but having the PanicGuard app can give people confidence because they know that it is easy to send out an alert if they are in danger and gives them security at their fingertips.
Mikkel Dissing goes further to say “Our goal is to empower our users to feel more confident knowing that without doing anything more than shaking their phone they can instantly alert friends and family who can call the police to come to their aid and they will have the evidence to help them catch the criminal.”

About PanicGuard
PanicGuard is a free to download and test, the ongoing security service costs from only £3.99 a month.
A short video of demonstration PanicGuard: http://panicguard.com/example
Subscription benefits
Subscribers can:
· send SMS, emails, Twitter and Facebook alerts to emergency contacts who can then call the police
· have a record of activity which can be used to track the user while in danger and can also be used as evidence to track perpetrators
· help the police with their investigations
PanicGuard works in three stages. Firstly when turned on it works quietly in the background, and it can if users chooses emit a reassuring “pulse” to the user so they do not need to keep looking at their phone. The phone automatically track the users location in real-time.
Then, if the user is attacked or feel threatened they can activate the service by either shaking the phone or sliding the start button. The app then instantly sends an alert to chosen emergency contacts, via SMS, Email, Facebook and Twitter contacts. The emergency contacts can then see and hear what is happening and can track the user live and call the emergency services if they think the user is in danger. When calling the emergency services they can and give very detailed information about location and possibly also describe the attacker from the video.
If the phone is shaken again a loud rape alarm goes off, and the flash on the phone becomes a strobe light attracting maximum attention and working as a deterrent. Should the attacker either kidnap the user or steal the phone he/she is still tracked covertly. Even if the SIM card is changed PanicGuard can still track the phone making it easier to find the attacker post the event. The only way PanicGuard can be deactivated is by entering the users date of birth as a pin code.
